Harry Potter and the Emerald Tablet. By ACMC. PG-13. The story is full of hard life lessons, with deepening bonds between the trio, the DA, and the Order. But you have to be able to laugh as well as cry and there are plenty of big Quidditch games, romance, pranks, and adventures.

Rec'd by Moonshadow-NAL: Hannah is very much believable in this, even though she's not a major character and she's not portrayed in too much detail. I like her because she's very much a Hufflepuff, but she and Susan prove inarguably that Hufflepuff doesn't mean stupid.

Deflowering Hannah. By Better than Chocolate. R. Losing one's virginity isn't as easy as it sounds. Just go ask Hannah. Humour/Romance.

Rec'd by Manraviel: This isn't one of those laugh-out-loud fics and you can even say that the 'plot' is a bit cliched, but while reading, one can't help but feel sorry for poor Hannah. If there is something called 'bad timing' then you get ample examples of that here. Hannah is a normal teenaged girl with a cliched overexcited friend called Susan. But poor Hannah's troubles are what make this fic worth the read. I, personally, sympathised wholly with her predicament. Getting laid really isn't all that easy. I wouldn't call this excellent, but it's a fun read. Look out for the R rating.

Under Wraps. By dulcinea. NC-17. Hannah/Susan. Hannah discovers that Quidditch matches can actually be quite entertaining, especially when shared with Susan.

Rec'd by urbn_pirate: The characterisation is so close to how I imagine Hannah, and it makes my insides turn to mush when I read it. Like a nice bit of girlslash.

Numb. By Kaz. PG-13. Hannah/Ron. Hannah finally learns how to stop running.

Rec'd by Sharp Tongued: Hannah fic is very rare, but Kaz created a fan out of me with this Hannah/Ron. She's war weary as a Healer, but continues on with her work. Ron comes in to be mended and they form a sort of bond. She's afraid of getting hurt again, emotionally, and what woman isn't? Hannah has depth, and you can see why she was clearly put in Hufflepuff.

That Summer. By Mallory. PG-13. Hannah/Susan. Because everybody needs their summer of sexual awakening.

Rec'd by FishOutOfWater: I love Hannah in this fic because the author manages to characterize her as assertive and not afraid to try new things, while still keeping her as a believably sweet, endearing Hufflepuff.

Out of Place. By Miss Cora. G. Sometimes it's very hard to fit in, and sometimes it's hard to realise that you already do.

Rec'd by likecandy_sweet: I've always wondered: How in the hell do magic folk keep their wands in their robes? Hannah does, too. She doesn't just accept as a given the wizarding world's idiosyncracies and absurdities. It's not so easy for her to find her groove. But eventually, she kind of wakes up and just... does. Which is why I love this Hannah. It's a lovely, quiet writing.

Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité. By Paralella. PG. Hufflepuff isn't generally a house that stands out. But as Hannah Abbott discovers, they may have something, which nobody else does.

Rec'd by Manraviel: I really like this fic because it dwells into the mind of a Hufflepuff the way we never usually think about. It brings about new meaning to being a part of the house. I myself felt ashamed for writing off this house when I read about Hannah's discovery of what it means to be a Hufflepuff and her taking pride in it. Hannah's character is believable and the reader is immediately sympathetic with her predicament. The writing is fluid and beautiful. Definately worth a read.

And abjaxx: Hannah in this story is finally learning that Hufflepuff isn't just the house for "nobodies." The Hannah in this story is one of the few I've seen as a rounded character, and a touching conversation with Susan Bones about what it is to be a Hufflepuff makes this story great.

Surprising. By Tari. Hannah's not having a good day. But then someone gives her a Valentine that's... surprising.

Rec'd by Oomahey: It's cute and fluffy. I liked the interaction between the main characters (nuh uh, not telling who. Find out yourself.)

Hannah of Hufflepuff and the Terrible, Horrible, No-Good, Very Bad Day. By Tess. PG. When Hannah Abbott of Hufflepuff House forgets her Charms notebook in Greenhouse Four, she innocently returns for it... little knowing what horrors lie in store for the unwary.

Rec'd by abjaxx: A lighthearted look into the mind of our favorite Hufflepuff.

Harry Potter and the Year of the Quarrels and Harry Potter and the Year of the Darkest Days. By theKnowItAll. PG-13. YotQ: When evil arises and darkness overshadows, enemies must be kept close, and friends ever closer. They must stand together, because there may be a lurking evil greater than any of them imagined. YotDD: The days grow darker and forebodingly shorter as the greatest war of the wizarding world creeps closer...student and teacher fight side by side, trust is betrayed, love loses purpose...and a world's fate dangles in the hands of one bespectacled hero...

Rec'd by Moonshadow-NAL: Hannah is completely different in these stories than any other Hannah that I've ever read. She, Susan, Ernie and Justin completely rebel against Hufflepuff, but somehow manage to keep the typical Hufflepuff loyalty at the same time, because they're sticking up for Harry, even though the rest of their house hates him.

Evil Masterminds, or Becoming Draco Malfoy. By Amanda Carol. PG-13. It was the most diabolical scheme of their time. Now if they could only pull it off. Contained within: devious Hufflepuffs, a dangerous plan, and Draco Malfoy, bound and gagged to a chair. The fic isn't Hannah-centric, but she is a major character. It's time for a little Hufflepuff revenge.

The Curse Breaker's Apprentice. By cindale. PG. Hannah/Bill. Hannah Abbot is tired of being average. Can a Hufflepuff show courage?

Catharsis. By dulcinea. PG-13. Hannah/Cho. Sometimes, before you can begin to mourn someone, you must first know them. As well as know yourself.

In the Name of Helga. By Hazel Whinlatter. PG. Follows ten Hufflepuffs through their first year at Hogwarts. Starring Justin Finch-Fletchley, Ernie McMillan, Hannah Abbott, Susan Bones and some OC's.

Hufflepuff Cunning. By Kaz. PG. Hannah/Blaise. Hannah has a plan

To Gossip or Not to Gossip. By Manraviel. PG. Written for the "What's your OTP?" FA Valentine's Day Challenge. Pairing sentence: "The Golden Snitch is snogging Susan Bones."

Dirty Trousers. By SkoosiePants. Will range from PG to R. An ongoing AU about the HP gang in their early twenties. Their days are spent in Lupin's fish store, at the cafe, uni classes. Their nights mostly end up at Curly's pub, listening to Seamus rock out with his band, Dirty Trousers. Hannah Abbott - LFS employee, easily amused, uni dropout, has her eye on her flatmate, Terry, but doesn't 'do' relationships.

Stranded. By SkoosiePants. R. Draco/Ron, Blaise/Hermione, Ginny/Greg, Harry/Millicent, Seamus/Theodore, Hannah/Fork. AU. Hermione's being blackmailed, Draco fancies Ron, Zabini's a smarmy pirate, and all's fair in the dawn of a new civilization. It only ever came down to two things: sex and war. Hannah is minor, but fierce.
