Lucius Malfoy's Good Girl. By Anise. R. Since childhood, Pansy has known that she's destined for Draco. Trouble is, she hates him, he despises her, and his frustrated desires are turned towards Ginny Weasley, the one person on the face of the earth who is most forbidden to him. This doesn't fit into Lucius Malfoy's plans at all. So one autumn afternoon at the manor, he teaches Pansy a lesson in seduction, lust, and the twisted paths of power...

Rec'd by Audrey aka Rachel Satowsky: The Pansy in Anise's fic is somewhat sad. She has so many demands on her. She is a very complex character. Anise combines her hatred for Draco with her duty to the "cause" (Voldemort, the death eaters, all that). This Pansy has to deal with so much and she's somewhat of an evil character, but I like her even so.

All the Right Curves. By Applecede. PG-13. Pansy/Draco. Some girls have dangerous curves. Some girls don't.

Rec'd by Sharp Tongued: I love this Pansy because she is introspective and kind. More than the Slytherin Bitch. She loves and takes care of certain people.

We Brethren Are. By Author Gal. It doesnt matter what side you fought on, or what house you came from. Everyone suffers the same. Two women talk after the last battle.

Rec'd by skipidydoo2003: Thought this was written really well and would love to read more stories like this.

Observations. By Bloodyrose. PG-13. Little is known about Pansy Parkinson, but that doesn't stop her knowing everything about everyone else.

Rec'd by Sharp Tongued: This is a Draco/Harry, but Pansy plays the observer. She's a friend, a good one. The kind that cares for everyone around her. How can you not love that? She's more than a snob, she knows about Granger's problems, Weasley's issues, Potter's control issues. But how well does she know Draco, that's the question.

The Darling Buds of May. By Bruno. G. Pansy/Gregory. One fine winter afternoon, Gregory Goyle enjoys a bit of poetry reading. What he doesn't know is that he's not alone.
~ and ~
Autumn Leaves. By Bruno. PG. Pansy/Gregory. Some things in life are measured out for us; all we can do is to walk our paths and walk them to the end. Gregory knew this, and so did Pansy.

Rec'd by anguis_1: I like these Pansies for several reasons: the writing is great; she's human - sympathetic yet not perfect; she still can fit in with canon; she's struggling to survive in suffocating situations and manages to retain her self. (I also like these fics because they feature Goyle.)

Just a Crush. By Clipboard. PG-15. Pansy/Millicent, Pansy/Hermione. Pansy and Millicent have been girlfriends for some time, but recently Pansy has found herself strangely attracted to Hermione, but she's not quite sure why.

Rec'd by Lady_Isabella: What impressed me about this story was the delving into interior thoughts and motivations in a very sophisticated way... and yet so appropriate for the age level of the characters. The fact that Pansy doesn't understand the motivation for her attraction to Hermione makes the desire more believeable and natural. So often in fanfiction, the author jumps straight to the action and doesn't dwell long on the mental processes. This story does a marvelous job of getting into Pansy's head, and that's why I liked it so much.

With Flowers Come Smiles. By dee. Life is just a series of events.

Rec'd by CrazySexyCool: This is just a great fic; a little unusual and possibly just a bit OOC, but I do love the portrayal of Pansy nonetheless.

Her, Amid the Slytherins. By Demeter. Belonging to Slytherin does not automatically make an innocent child evil. Black and white are only two colors, and Pansy Parkinson is all the shades of gray.

Rec'd by FishOutOfWater: This is a wonderful, extremely underrated series that retells a few scenes from PS/SS and CoS from a Slytherin (and Pansy) point of view. Pansy is a likeable, sympathetic character here, and triumphant scenes from the books sure seem different when you look at what the Slytherins have to say...

Noses. By Diricawl. PG. Pansy/Draco. "I'm not going to marry you, Draco," is not the kind of response Draco Malfoy is used to hearing, especially from Pansy Parkinson, and especially before having asked the question. A late night conversation in the Slytherin common room leads to some startling realisations and talk of plastic surgery.

Rec'd by Sharp Tongued: Pansy snark is always the best. The fact they get into the funniest situations - well, funny for a Slytherin - is quite interesting. Friendships can grow into more, but better yet, Draco's inner dialogue of her is great too. The way she keeps running up the list of choices. The hex is great too. Plus she's smart. She has an intelligence that some of the characters don't seem to possess.

Hopeless Attraction. By Etoile Mysterieuse. G. Pansy/Neville. She couldnt help but laugh as she watched his potion go up in flames again. She couldnt help but blush whenever he looked towards her, even though she knew he was never looking at her. She couldnt help but smile when he said something, whether it was in his sheepish tone or a brave and robust voice although she had to admit, that happened rarely but she couldnt help but hate him after all, he was a Gryffindor and she a Slytherin; it was only natural. A short ficlet about Pansy and her 'crush' on Neville... also what entails when they're both kept in after class...

Rec'd by Narcissa Malfoy: A short G-rated little piece about an encounter in Potions class. On re-reading, I do find the ending a little weak, the language there a little cliched, but I niffled it because it gets Neville, which is so rare as to be almost non-existent. And Pansy is very well characterized too.

The Mistletoe is Bleeding. By GreenCookie. PG-13. There are children playing in the drift, can you see them? The Potter kids, the product of an unspoken, unbreakable peace agreement. But every year, she still sees Draco Malfoy under the Christmas tree, the shadow of everything shes sacrificed for them.

Rec'd by Moonshadow-NAL: I love Pansy in this because she's so uniquely Pansy, while still managing to be completely in love with the kids, and the relationships with both Harry and Draco are amazingly believable.

New Year's Resolution. By Inell13. PG-13. Pansy/Neville. Its New Years Eve and Pansy has reluctantly been dragged to a party. While there, she meets someone from her past and makes a resolution.

Rec'd by skipidydoo2003: This is really sweet, have only recently warmed to the idea of Pansy and Neville.

Beyond the Pale. By Ivyblossom. R. Like Quidditch, murder is a spectator sport. Pansy watches Draco watching Harry.

Rec'd by urbn_pirate: While the actual focus of the fic is Draco, it's such an insight into the way Pansy's mind works. she seems so innocuous and innocent while at the same time she is guilty by inaction. As opposed to Origins, by the same author, in which Pansy (a minor character) begins innocently enough before decending into blind evil. I wasn't so into the way the story ended but I loved her revengeful!pansy.

Left Handed. By Ivyblossom. NC-17. Hermione has an admirer of a sort; Pansy watches Hermione and considers her, herself, and the differences between boys and girls.

Rec'd by FishOutOfWater:Another classic and one of the first sympathetic!Pansy fics I came across. I love the thoughtful, likeable Pansy here, the interesting second personnarration, and the Pansy/Hermione.

Too Far Away. By Jazzy Jello. PG-13. Pansy is unhappy. Maybe its because the Gryffindor she secretly longs for hates her, or maybe shes sick of her friends bickering. Perhaps she just doesnt want to live in a world of lies anymoreWho is the real Pansy Parkinson, anyway?

Rec'd by Moonshadow-NAL: In this fic, Pansy is completely different from any other characterisation of her that I've ever come across. The idea of a Slytherin "faade" is twisted to the author's advantage, to make Pansy's character, and the plotline in general, much more believeable.

Snogs Galore. By jennymalfoy. PG-13. Pansy/Ron, Draco/Ginny. Its the beginning of February and a Slytherin has gotten their hands on Cupids bow and set of arrows. The plan goes awry and the arrows are being found all around school. Love is running amok and no one is safe. NO ONE! This fic will contain numerous ships.

Rec'd by sushinase: WHY I love this Pansy? - She's so Pansy. And all the mishaps that happen to her make me feel like pitying her and at the same time make me crack up because it's just so ridiculously funny. Jennymalfoy is really an incredible writer, not many people can manage that many ships in one fic. Well yeah, it's just hilarious. This also got me hooked on Blaise/Hermione.

Change Your Taste in Men. By judyhazeleyes. PG-13. Pansy/Millicent.

Rec'd by FishOutOfWater: This is a really wonderful, astoundingly hot Pansy/Mililicent fic where Pansy watches Millicent transform from insecure to conflident - with the hair, the clothes, the attitude. I love the Slytherin girls in this fic.

Best Served Naked. By Kaz. NC-17. Sometimes, revenge is a dish best served naked.

Rec'd by Sharp Tongued: It's an NC-17 but good piece. The male of choice is unique, so I won't give it away. Pansy's been burned, and the best way to take out from the Slytherin Princess's point of view is play with fire. Another facet to the lovely Miss Parkinson.

Save Yourself. By LanaMariah. R. Pansy/Draco. A story told through the eyes of the Slytherins we love to hate: An arranged marriage between Pansy and Draco forces the taboo ship together. Throughout seven dark years and a lifetime, will they learn to love one another, even though love is a sin in the eyes of the betrothed? A story of love, loss, and the ultimate betrayal. In which Pansy is not a ditz and Draco isn't a jerk - at least not to the people he loves. Question is, will she become one of them?

Rec'd by FishOutOfWater: This is the classic Draco/Pansy fic, and it cannot go unrecced here. I loved this fic because it was the first time I saw this pairing portrayed in a positive light, as well as Pansy - for once, she wasn't a bitch, or a ditz. Pansy and Draco are both likeable here, while still in Slytherin character.

Let The Darkness Become You. By LovelyThumper. PG-13. The life story of a Slytherin named Pansy Parkinson. Her life growing up in her parents' house, years in Hogwarts, relationship with Draco, and eventual path towards the Death Eaters. But will she take it or not?

Rec'd by Lilie Blaze: This is basically the books through Pansy's eyes. It's a glimps at her life and who she is. It's truly wonderful. The author is so very talented that it would be a shame not to read.

Love You Like Kittens. By LovelyThumper. PG. Pansy/Draco. Draco learns of the emotion love from a childhood friend.

Rec'd by Lilie Blaze: Draco is the one speaking throughout this fic but Pansy is the other main character. It's an incredibly sad fic and definetly worth reading.

Pariah. By MaeGunn Batt. R. Nothing about Pansy Parkinson's seventh year is going right. For starters, there is a Weasley Situation that must be dealt with, NEWTs are looming over the Seventh Years' heads, and the terrifying menace of reality threatens to take down the castle of Hogwarts stone by stone. And to make matters worse, the new fifth year Slytherin prefect has the hots for Draco. Her name is Teeny Nott, the second most wicked being on the planet, and she is out to get Pansy Parkinson any way she can. When Slytherin House turns against Pansy Parkinson, she vows to get revenge- even if it means seeking the help of a Weasley. Welcome to the politics of teenage Slytherin girls, but be warned: here there be catfights.

Rec'd by abjaxx: Pansy is sarcastic, outgoing, devious, and vengeful - in short, everything she should be. The story and writing are wonderful, and while the story is currently on hiatus (with a decent chance things will pick up again soon), ten long chapters will keep you busy.

And by AmethystPhoenix: What to say? Well, I love the Pansy characterization in this fic... she's got a personality, and a fiery one to boot. She's not stupid, but the author hasn't made her a Hermione-clone, which would have ruined the entire characterization if she had. However, Pansy is right on the dot in this fic, and her thoughts and feelings throughout the fic are quite humorous and touching in parts of the fic. And MaeGunn Batt definitely has a way with humor in the fic.

Flame and Shadow. By Maya. NC-17. Ron/Pansy, Harry/OC, Alicia/OC, past Ron/Hermione, Ron/OC, implied past Draco/Pansy, Harry/Draco. You can't think of anything more wrong. Nor can they.

Rec'd by CrazySexyCool: This was the fic that got me hooked on Ron/Pansy; the fic is simply breath-taking. Both characters remain completely in-character, a rarity indeed. I hesitate to call it a love story, but it is; Ron and Pansy overcoming their own prejudices and pasts to fall (ever so accidentally) in love.

Loved Those of Great Ambition. By Maya. R. Pansy/Draco. Set in the Underwater Light universe, but it's not necessary to have read it. It should be a truth universally acknowledged that you never really get over your first love.

Rec'd by CrazySexyCool: This is simply one of the best characterisations of the Slytherin house that I've ever come across; the author doesn't attempt to explain or rationalize the characters; she writes them as they should be written, snarky and unrepentant and utterly human. Loved Those of Great Ambition is a truly wonderful tale of friendship and love, and I highly recommend it.

...addicted to.... By Mieko Belle. R. Pansy/Malfoy, Pansy/Hermione. Slytherin. Whore. Teenage Death Eater. Lesbian? Label Pansy Parkinson any way you like. She doesn't care any more.

Rec'd by CrazySexyCool: This is one of the best one-shots I've ever come across; it's a song-fic, but the lyrics are woven so well into the fic that the writing itself flows like music.

And by hiccupsweets: I love this Pansy because she's just SO Pansy to me. I mean, (and once that summer, when she was in bed, Pansy silently thanked Harry Potter. Then she slapped her own face, hard, like a disobedient house elf). It just sounds so much like Pansy to me. She's a confused teenager who tries to be beautiful and it's just so wonderful. I really don't know what to say. Just this is MY Pansy, how I envision Pansy. It's so perfect.

Breeding. By Reena. Pansy/Draco. Pansy Parkinson knows exactly what she wants and how she wants it. Most importantly, she knows she has what it takes.

Rec'd by CrazySexyCool: In terms of plot, there really isn't any, and to be honest, her characterisation isn't particularly innovative or even complex. What I do like about this fic is that Pansy is completely, unabashedly Slytherin and headstrong; she's no shrinking violet and truly believes in her own worth.

Two Rivers Flow Separately. By Remus's Nymph. PG. What happens when Harry does the unexpected? Read how his actions effect those around him. Watch the domino theory in action.

Rec'd by Lilie Blaze: This isn't based around Pansy but she does have a part in it that is absolutely amazing. Definetly worth reading but if you are a sensitive person like me, get tissues!

Dirty Trousers. By SkoosiePants. PG to R. A loosely put together AU about the HP gang in their early twenties. Their days are spent in Lupin's fish store, at the cafe, uni classes. Their nights mostly end up at Curly's pub, listening to Seamus rock out with his band, Dirty Trousers.

Rec'd by Moonshadow-NAL: I believe that I have fallen in love with her in this. She's evil and manipulative and generally wonderful. I especially love the way she interacts with both Harry and Draco.

Muggle Studies by Slytherincess. R. Fifth Year: Draco Malfoy loses a formal wizards' duel to George and Ron Weasley and is forced to take Muggle Studies as a consequence. Unable to resist bearing witness to Draco's shame, the Gryffindors and Malfoy's fellow Slytherins also decide to come along for the ride. Told from the view of Pansy Parkinson. Unexpected surprises and insights are in store for both groups. Oh, and of course snogs and more snogs.

Rec'd by Moonshadow-NAL: Slytherincess makes Pansy sarcastic, brattish, and generally brilliant all-round. She's also surprisingly insightful, which is something that I don't see too much in her character.

Wick. By Slytherincess. R. Harry Potter finds himself inexplicably attracted to Pansy Parkinson. She absolutely refuses to reciprocate until he formally and politely requests her affections in Parseltongue. Harry does his very best to accommodate her request.

Rec'd by Moonshadow-NAL: Pansy's interaction with Harry in this is everything Slytherin, while her own character is a strange mixture of sharp, underhanded, and loyal, in her own way.

Draco Malfoy's Diary. By The Morning Starr. PG-13. Draco Malfoy's private diary from the fifth year, in the style of Bridget Jones.

Rec'd by Hannah Marder: This was one of the first fics I read that depicted Pansy as something other than a really nasty, scheming little piece of work. The story is told from Draco's POV, in a Bridget Jones style diary, and Pansy is his 'Mr Darcy.' It doesn't pretend to be a canon characterisation, but it is a very good story, and makes the Slytherins seem human. It is funny, and yet there are soem very sad moments. It's certainly the most sympathetic Pansy that I've read. *At end of day with Pansy, recognized that she was right. Really must stop moping about. Am v. glad she is such good friend. Everyone should have a Pansy to look after them and be in tune to their needs. Is v. comforting. Though, feel a bit guilty that Pansy went to such trouble to cheer me up when she has no idea whats gotten me down in the first place. Perhaps should tell her.*

The Queen's Gambit. By slyth_pansy. Featuring a Pansy (and Draco) within the last year that represents a side of Pansy that I was interested to see explored - namely, the manipulative hold that Draco has over her and Pansy's devotion to him even so. It's a PG-rated fanfic, and it takes place post-seventh year, while the War rages between the minions of Voldemort and those who oppose him.

Forever. By Lilie Blaze. PG-13. You hate her... but why? Because she is perfect? She's far from it but you can't see that, can you? You don't want to see that! WARNING: this concerns some serious issues that may not be suitable for all. Be wise when choosing to read it!

Something Unpredictable. By Moonshadow-NAL. PG. There's a new girl at Hogwarts who's been Sorted into Slytherin, and she's created quite a stir.

fanfictionfan's fic recs:

I have listed a long list of my favorite Pansy fics, with a variety of pairings. I wont list Why This Pansy for each rec, it would take forever! However, what I like about Pansy in all these stories is that she is written as multi-faceted. She still has her bite, her snarky attitude if you will, but she also has other feelings and emotions as well. She is such a wonderful character with so much potential when in the hands of the right writer. I feel that the following authors have all taken her core cannon personality and expanded on it beautifully.

From the Ashes. By Fourth Rose. PG-13. Pansy/Harry. Includes past Harry/Draco and Pansy/Draco. Voldemort is dead. The war is over, but moving on can be harder than expected especially if youre not sure to which side you belong anymore. Harry and Pansy dont have much in common, yet they find themselves in an uneasy alliance in their attempt to save whats left from everything that was dear to them.

Wizarding Archaeology Today. By hamadryad. PG-13. Pansy/Ron. The first in the Matchmaking Ginny series. Ron spends too much time gallivanting around the world because of his curse-breaking career. When he is at home, he's rattling around in that big house all by himself. What he really needs is a good witch. And Ginny knows just the perfect match for him.

Last Minute Shopping. By Inell. PG. Pansy/Harry. Harry is doing some last minute shopping and runs into a familiar face.

Game of Emotion. By Jaya. PG-13. Pansy/Harry. Includes Draco/Hermione. Insecure! and Bitchy! Pansy. Playful! and Angry! Harry. When you find someone has been watching you from on top of a wall, what do you do? What do you say? Emotions is a fun game to play.

Subtlety is Overrated. By Kaz. PG-13. Pansy/Neville. Sometimes, subtlety is overrated.

Caught Off Guard (also known as Harry is Scrappy). By SkoosiePants. PG-13. Pansy/Ron. "Ron Weasley was angry. Spitting mad. Bloody furious. In fact, he couldnt remember a time when he hadnt been full of burning rage; even though, logically, he knew it had only been a week. A horrid, nightmarish week."

Blankets of Pansies. By Slytherincess. R. Pansy/Harry. Seven years post-Hogwarts: Harry and Pansy meet up in Diagon Alley and embark on a very naughty reunion. Plenty of vodka, wine, and shameless behavior; a nice shag and the Petrificus Totalus make an appearance. HET with one slashy implication. Voyeurism! Harry gets in touch with his inner Slytherin, with fascinating results!

Consumed. By where_is_truth. NC-17. Pansy/Ron. Pansy Parkinson wants everything - and everyone - she sees, but the things she can't see are the things she wants most.

Short-Snout Blue. By where_is_truth. PG. Pansy/Charlie. Charlie is on a mission as a favor to the Ministry, but when he sees his first and only lead in an illegal dragonhide harvesting case, he can't quite keep his mind focused on the task at hand.

Finding Out the Truth (sequel to Short-Snout Blue). By where_is_truth. NC-17. Pansy/Charlie. Charlie has only one way to find out where Pansy got her dragonskin suit. Once he starts asking questions, he's not sure he wants to hear the truth.
