Seamus is Seamus and You are Yourself. By Ari Munami. PG-13. Harry goes through some er... changes in his Sixth Year and everyone, including Draco Malfoy, sits up and takes notice.

Rec'd by moonshadow_nal: Seamus is bloody hilarious in this fic, but he's also not the completely insensitive jerk that some authors make him, for a refreshing change.

And by scarletswitchblade (bizzatch): SISAYAY is a must read for any Seamus loving Harry/Draco fan. The title itself acknowledges Seamus' lack of, shall we say, inhibition. He is perfectly somfortable with himself and shameless in this story. This story is more about Harry and Draco than anything else, but Seamus lightens the mood, and uses his Gryffindor bravery more sexually than any character I've ever read.

When Shadows Creep. By Brielle. Seamus, Neville and Dean have just arrived at Hogwarts, and should be tucked up happily in bed. But it is the middle of the night and each of them is wide awake, brooding upon their fears and insecurities.

Rec'd by Norwegian Blue: This is a fic about Seamus, Dean, and Neville's views of their first night at Hogwarts. It isn't completely Seamus, but his part is first, and it's very well written. I like the Seamus in this fic because in book canon he seems sometimes overconfident, and even though I love his character in the books, it was great to see some of his admitted weaknesses. I'm also a sucker for alternate PoV of canon moments.

Boy Time. By Broi. NC-17. In which we have Harry, Seamus and TWINS, who unselfishly take it upon themselves to educate the younger Gryffs in the ways of boy lovin'.

Rec'd by insipid_paragon: Seamus is wired on sugar and is his normal charming self as he has his merry way with Harry: *BloodyhellIvewantedtodothatforages, Seamus said in one sharp exhaled breath as they finally parted. Ill tell you this he half turned to Fred and George as he spoke, Ill tell you this, no one is coming inside this common room for a while yet. Im going to have my fun and no one is going to stop me.*

The Most Delicious Sweet of All. By Broi. NC-17. In which Ron and Seamus start off having a little heart-to-heart and end up getting a little sexy.

Rec'd by insipid_paragon: Seamus is a little rowdy, a little wicked, and a lot charming, and this story is a lot hot. *Youve been eating too many sweets, Ron croaked, Theyre addling your mindnot wanting all those admirers he laughed forcedly. Seamus was still looking at him. Stopdont look at me like that, Ron said, this time his voice was slightly harsher. His knuckles were white from gripping handfuls of bedspread.*

Truth. By Broi. NC-17. In which Ron is given a potion and feels prompted to overshare with Harry.

Rec'd by insipid_paragon: Seamus is, naturally, present and very much involved and is a hyper, candy-crazed taking-the-initiative sex machine. *Trust me, Ron, he said wickedly, Harry is good. He is MORE than good. We taught each other all that we know ... We could teach you, too Seamus said, tracing a finger up Rons calf and thigh, making the red-head shiver. Obviously Harry is yours nowhes wanted this as much as youbut it doesnt mean that we cant have a little bit of fun, does it?*

A Discussion Over Peeps. By chibigirl626. PG-13. Seamus/Hermione. An friendship between two Gryffindors evolves into something more through a discussion while eating marshmallow chicks. A fluffy little Easter fic.

Rec'd by stereotype_vamp: I liked this Seamus because his first accurate sentence already include a cuss word. ^___^ The author somehow managed to make him subtly (Seamus subtle, *snort*) sexy, and very funny. The story isn't too fluffy, and even if there is snogging, and thre is, Hermione deserves an Irish snog every once in a while, and Ron and Harry's reactions are...hilarious. Very nice job.

Arrangement in Orange and Gold. By Clio. G. Some things you have to put it on paper to make sure they are not forgotten.

Rec'd by slinkiestumble: A very short little story that wringes the heart, but is all the more lovely for it. Seamus is quite surprising in his intuativeness in this, but at the same time, totally not. The fic is so short, I just don't want to give it all away, but believe me when I say this is a wonderful Seamus.

Eight Ways from Sunday. By Clio. R. It could be standing before you, needing a bit of a push. Or sitting beside you, waiting for you to let go. Perhaps it's sneaking up from behind, hoping you will turn around. But sometimes, love falls from a clear blue sky, and you just have to catch it. How do you decide which is the right path, when you're only sixteen?

Rec'd by Foxglove: Although this fic features many characters, Seamus is my favourite. This is exactly how I picture him: brassy and confident, but also aware that he has a tendency to stick his foot in his mouth. Clio is an excellent writer and I would be surprised if I'm the only one to rec this fic.

Letters to Mum. By Darwin's Apprentice. This is a collection of letters from various students to their mothers. Set during OotP, the letters reflect events important to the students and occasionally to the plot. Missing moments with fluff, humor and angst. Usually not all at once. (Missing Moment)

Rec'd by Norwegian Blue: This is a series of one shots, where various characters who were students at Hogwarts in OotP writing...wait for it...letters to their mothers. The whole series is great, but the chapter I linked to is Seamus's letter to his mother. I like this Seamus because you can feel his guilt over breaking the rules, and trying to wrestle between his morals and what his mother's rules are. You can almost see his decision making process on when he joined the DA and started to believe Harry, and he uses the same process to try to convince his mother.

Better Living Through Learning. By ethrosdemon. G. If you love someone enough, they slip into you and become a part, like your hair or your freckles.

Rec'd by slinkiestumble: Interesting and through-provoking insight into Seamus that turns fanon!Seamus on its head. But not in a bad way, in a cute, adorable Seamus-way.

Midnight Musings. By Frankie Beeblebrox. PG. What do people say when they think no one is listening to them? A series of vignettes from different characters.

Rec'd by Norwegian Blue: This is a series of one shots about various characters thinking to themselves in the middle of the night. The whole series is excellent, but the chapter I linked to is Seamus' mother's PoV. This fic almost feels like a continuation of Darwin's story. Frankie shows how his mother feels about Seamus, admitting that she didn't want to believe him, trying to poke holes in his story. But from her point of view, Seamus is stubborn and loyal, at first defending his mum and his reasoning of Harry and Dumbledore's "made up" story, then as he's won over, how he tries to win his mother over to believe Harry's story.

(the early bird gets) The Worm. By greenapricot. PG-13. It seems to Seamus that Blaise Zabini has been lurking in the shadows, dormant, for the better part of seven years, only to emerge mere months before they are to leave the castle for good. Suddenly there's no getting away from him.

Rec'd by slinkiestumble: Seamus is fabulous in this. He's snarky, he's a Gryffindor and he has a calm confidence about him that just sucks the reader in. And Blaise! Well, Blaise Zabini sure knows how to push all of Seamus' buttons! Oh, so much fun to read.

Blush. By kaalee. PG. This is written in the same universe as My Life with Dean, Or, How Disney Nearly Ruined My Relationship. This time it is Seamus' mam's perspective.

Rec'd by slinkiestumble: Told through Seamus' mam's perspected, she pegs him in only a way a mother can. She tells the story of his falling in love with Dean and the Irish accent in which she does so is immensely awesome. Also, Seamus' mam is the absolute best.

Drawing Seamus. By kaalee. [light] R. Dean wants to draw Seamus in an interesting position.

Rec'd by slinkiestumble: Dean can be quite persuasive for the little Irishman it seems, but poor Seamus gets himself worked up quite a bit in this fic. He's nervous, he's antsy and he even manages a bit of that Irish indignation that reared its full head in OotP. In other words, Seamus is great and also, bloody sexy too.

Floating. By kaalee. PG-13. Seamus tells himself that it has nothing to do with the war, the violence, the floating, resentful misdirection.

Rec'd by slinkiestumble: A stark look at Seamus and Dean during the war - an angsty fic that speaks the words of love. It makes the heart ache, this piece, despite the shortness of it. Seamus is so human and his pain is so real.

My Life with Dean, Or How Disney Nearly Ruined My Relationships. By kaalee. PG-13. First drawings, first kisses, being famous, oh my ...

Rec'd by slinkiestumble: Seamus is absolutely adorable in this. His rants about how Disney and its "soul-mate, meant-to-be, Magic Kingdom crap" ruined his love life is so cute, as are his little "I'm surely a teenage boy and must insert comments about nakedness" tangents. He just makes you want to hug him and squeeze him real tight.

Taken for Granted. By kaalee. PG. One day you realize that you don't really pay attention to the things you've taken for granted until they're gone.

Rec'd by slinkiestumble: The realness of Seamus in this is quite memorable. His understandings about his surroundings, the implication of the pain of his past in Ireland and his relationship with Dean - they all just make the story and Seamus' characterization that much better.

Hogwarts Apprentices I: Gentry Green. By Lisa Roquin. PG-13. Harry learns a strange things about his family history and returns to Hogwarts early summer after 5th year. Grief, betrayal, shocks, angst, oh yeah and Snape too.

Rec'd by moonshadow_nal: I love Seamus in this because he's supportive and sweet and generally wonderful to Harry, even though he gets hell because of it. And in the beginning, when thay're talking about Ron and Ginny? Lmao.

And by morkeleb_black: I love this Seamus because he really comes into his own and develops as a personality, realistically and interestingly. He's chosen along with Harry and a few others for a very demanding Apprentice course, so we see a more serious side to him as well, which doesn't often show up in fics - he's more usually the comic relief. He's not afraid to take a stance and defend it, and isn't easily intimidated. *"Easy, mate," Seamus ordered. "What the hell is wrong with you Potter?" Draco glared. "Hes not going to answer, he lost his voice from screaming so much during the visions." Seamus snapped at Draco. Harry glared at Seamus. Lovely, that would get him more pitying looks and oh, is Harry going to lose his bloody mind and go evil looks. Harry didn't notice that it didn't. At least not from the others in the room. He was as grateful as surprised over that. "Right, now sit your arse down and we'll sort this out," Seamus steered Harry back toward the bed. "Accio notebook and pen"*

His interactions with the other students show him to be intelligent, shrewd and capable of understanding other people. Especially with Harry, who this Seamus has feelings for, we see sensitivity from him.

Draco Malfoy, the Amazing Bouncing...Rat?. By Maya. PG-13. Draco Malfoy, magically transformed into an evil rat. Who is it who always seems to get the evil rats as pets, and what is poor, poor Draco's new name? Eventually D/Hr, just now mainly D/coffee...

Rec'd by insipid_paragon: Poor Seamus is rendered mostly incoherent for much of the story and has the unfortunate tendency to pass out at the best moments. *Draco nicked Harry's copy of 'Quidditch Through the Ages' and read it from cover to cover, then had a shouting match with Harry about the Wronski Feint, which ended up in them hitting each other with their broomsticks. Which made Seamus dribble about symbolism and run for his Prozac.* This is so one of those stories that you turn to on a rotten day, just because you can count on it to make you giggle and feel at least a little better, you know? And, god, poor Seamus. He's such a nervous wreck.

The Annals of Terry Boot. By Militheach Sidhe. PG-13. 6:48 am—Other boys check me out. Hermione Granger, however, has yet to acknowledge my existence. Has life just become devoid of meaning?
Tery Boot would like to think he's normal . . . Actually, he'd think whatever was required, if it'll get Hermione Granger to notice him. Favorably. But the chances of that are going down . . . (not necessarily a given Terry/Hermione. Things happen.)

Rec'd by scarletswitchblade (bizzatch): (This fic isn't Terry/Hermione at all. It's slash.) I love Seamus in this fic because he isn't the stereotypically gay Seamus we often see, although he is gay. Not that Stereotypical!Seamus isn't fantastic, but in The Annals of Terry Boot Seamus is more than just there to grope and be gay. He's very goofy and Gryffindorish, and most of his oddness is due to his odd taste in muggle pop culture, and his sometimes seemingly random comments. He even gives a bit of wisdom now and again.

The Pout. By Miss Cora. PG. Seamus' pout is a dangerous weapon...

Rec'd by sanityinstrife: Seamus's mood swings and actions are particularly funny, and Dean's responses are hilarious. Seamus reminds me of that girl in high school that gets pissed off at her boyfriend and lets him know publicly. I can just see them as Dionne and Murray in Clueless.

Lucky Charms. By Pet of Switchknife. PG-13 to R. Seamus/Blaise. There comes a time in every good Irish Catholic boy's life when he says enough is enough! I deserve love too! And sex. Lots and lots of sex! This is the story of Seamus Finnigan's quest for lurve, by way of Blaise Zabini, the Italian hot throb. Watch and enjoy as Seamus gets way over his head. Features innocent Seamus! Hey, it can happen.

Rec'd by weasleyswitch: I love this Seamus because: He's so innocent! I could never write him like this. And he's also in character, which is almost unheard of for an innocent Seamus. He just loveable and confused and awwww, bless. Lol. But I love this Seamus because he's loveable.

Road to Recovery. By rae-money. PG-13. Seamus/Ron. Everything had subsequently gone to hell.

Rec'd by SkoosiePants: Ron disappears and Seamus breaks my heart. *I just said it was true, Seamus yells. I just said it was and you dont believe me because you think Im some big joke. Oh, Seamus is a big joker, he never takes anything seriously and gets uncomfortable in serious situations. He was like that in school wasnt he? Iyou He knows hes merely talking out of his arse now, his mind hiding his ability to speak coherently, but after a few more false starts, he manages to quiet down and glare somberly at Harry. Seamus, Harry says, but Seamus grabs his wrist and squeezes. Its you, he says as his voice cracks. Its you, its always been you, so why couldnt you see it?*

Haven. By shikishi. PG/G. Comfort often arrives from the least likely of sources.

Rec'd by sanityinstrife: Seamus is worried, and not the usual glib character. Drinking helps him, along with another source of comfort. There are two more that go with the series, and it's amazing insight into the two characters. The writer characterizes Seamus with multidimensional aspects. Its honestly just a wonderful read.

Dirty Trousers. By SkoosiePants. PG-13 - R. A loosely put together AU about the HP gang in their early twenties. Their days are spent in Lupin's fish store, at the cafe, uni classes. Their nights mostly end up at Curly's pub, listening to Seamus rock out with his band, Dirty Trousers.

Rec'd by moonshadow_nal: Blame the green hair.

And by scarletswitchblade (bizzatch): I love Seamus in Dirty Trousers because omg he's so hot and has the green hair I've always wanted!! He is very cool and slightly manipulative and not at all clueless as Seamuses often are and he's in a band. I feel like a groupie. Yeah.

Rivalry and its sequel Revenge. By SkoosiePants. R. Seamus is full of the love. And Firewhiskey. And he probably shouldn't have made that bet with Theodore Nott.

Rec'd by slinkiestumble: So funny! Seamus is a blast drunk. The fact that he gets wasted, gets laid and then attempts to get revenge for getting wasted and laid is just hilarious! But really, Seamus is just a doll here. Theodore Nott deserves an honorable mention as well, simply for making Seamus so single-mindedly insane. Got to love that Slytherin git and the way he tortures poor Seamus.

And by moonysshadow: I loved Seamus in there because he's funny and drunk (partially) and just everything you want Seamus to be. Don't get me started, or I'll be here for a while.

Harry Potter and the Third Key. By SlowFox. PG-13. Well, were back after the GoF, and things have taken a turn for the darker. Sword fights, apocalyptic battles, new kinds of magic coming right at you! Weve got love, betrayal, angst. Doing the right thing, doing the wrong thing, and doing it in style. A Muggle-style beach party by the lake, a Yule ball and the full Quidditch season! See Azkaban! See Fudge on a power trip! Debate where Snapes loyalty really lies. See what really prompted Slytherin, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff to establish the school.

Rec'd by mysterywalker: Why do I love this Seamus? He gets to mock Harry: *"We know that, Harry," explained Seamus, "but, great as you are," he paused, to indicate that he was mocking the Boy Who Lived, ever so slightly, "you can't do everything."*

He isn't stupid: *"Pad?" asked Seamus, as the chains tightened, a puzzled frown on his face. Snuffles glared reproachfully at Lupin, who gave an apologetic shrug. Seamus narrowed his eyes, "Pad... Padfoot? Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs? That's right, isn't it?"*

He's a funny dude (prepare for a barrage of quotes...): *Everyone looked at Padma, dumbly, but it was Seamus who eloquently put the collective reaction into words, "You what?"* - *Justin, seemingly equally scandalised, slowly rose from the Hufflepuff table, and, with measured paces, approached the Gryffindors to address the skeleton Away Team, or, more accurately, Hermione; "do not," he advised, in a deep tone suffused with gravitas, jabbing his index finger warningly, "underestimate... the power... of the Force." By this time, Seamus, who was sitting next to Neville, had urgently grabbed him by the shoulders, locking eyes; "mind what you have learned, Neville. Help you, it can."* - *"Dean," urged Seamus. "Earth to Dean: when in hole, stop digging."* - *"You've written a schedule?" asked Seamus, incredulously, taking the parchment from Hermione between the tips of his fingers, as though it was somehow unclean, or contaminated.* - *"...and," persisted Seamus, who hadn't yet finished his catalogue of woe, "Katie..." "Freak accident," countered Hermione, dismissively. Dean winced at the recollection of that one; she'd been hit in the back of the head by a Bludger, and fell fifty feet into the ground, George managing to break her fall marginally at the last second. Still, the crack of bone had been audible across the pitch. "Cursed," corrected Seamus, darkly. "'s the Curse of Gryffindor," he elaborated, "become Quidditch Captain, Bad Things Happen."*

One more quote - there's ninety one chapters to search through: *"Well just make sure you grab that Snitch from underneath the slimy git's nose, then," urged Seamus, a sentiment echoed by most of the others present. "And," added Dean, helpfully, "if he happens to fall from his broom, well... it's a rough game..." "No-one's died in years, though," lamented Seamus, wistfully.*

And, he's really sweet. Aww.
